The Manx Nationalist Party has said that the decision of the Isle of Man to go ahead with the `Royal wedding’ bank holiday smacks of double-standards.
Mec Vannin Chairman, Mark Kermode, said that the government is continually braying about its independence and yet the decision to celebrate the UK holiday contradicts that.
The Mec Vannin Chairman went on to suggest that some in government have their eye on UK honours hence the subservience they display to the English Royal family.
